CHALLENGE:    CHANGE IMPLEMENTATION

As part of an upgrade process, HP 9000 servers were being modified, consolidated, decommissioned, moved to different locations or sold.

SOLUTION:    DEVELOPED CUSTOM PROCESS

WTI designed a custom program to help organize the upgrades and changes. The new process directed the information gained from hpinfo script to WTI. Experts then reviewed the server information and assessed the value of the equipment. Additionally, WTI managed the logistics involved with the removal of the equipment.

IMPACT:    EFFICIENCY IMPROVED; INCREASED FINANCIAL GAINS

The tailor-made WTI process provided an accurate, up-to-date inventory for HP 9000 servers throughout their organization, enabling Dominion Resource Services to receive fair market value return on the sale of their hardware. The custom process will also keep Dominion advised of the health of their system, making future upgrades and equipment changes hassle-free.

CHALLENGE:    MANAGE ALL ASPECTS OF NEW SERVER ACQUISITION

Customer required a leasing arrangement for new HP 9000 servers—from acquisition through implementation.

SOLUTION:     PROVIDED COMPLETE OUTSOURCING WITH MULTIFACETED EXPERTISE

With decades of expertise in technology and a consultative approach, WTI fully evaluated the situation and suggested a revised layout of the server room—including server alignment of space limitations to temperature control to flooring requirements. WTI also provided logistics and assisted with the final installation of each server.

CHALLENGE:    FORM GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP

Customer located in Japan was seeking an American partner in order to service HP midrange servers.

SOLUTION:    OVERCAME LANGUAGE AND DISTANCE BARRIERS

WTI set up a translation service and system through the Internet to help alleviate the language barrier with both Yokogawa staff and their customers.

IMPACT:    ACHIEVED GLOBAL SERVICE SATISFACTION

By establishing an effortless communication process, WTI allowed the Yokogawa team to insure exceptional service to their customer base. Tailored WTI support was one call/e-mail/page away, increasing the comfort level and minimizing the physical distance between the two companies.



Satyam Computer Services Ltd. / Software Services

CHALLENGE:    ESTABLISH COST-EFFICIENT MAINTENANCE PLAN

Customer had a set budget for annual maintenance of Hewlett-Packard services.

SOLUTION:    PROVIDED CUSTOMIZED PACKAGE

The Satyam accounting department had needed one standard cost for server maintenance in order for their software to run correctly. WTI created a tailored package to meet both budgetary and operational needs.
